Following the ride, we’ll head for a cafe where we can catch up over Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate and take part in Sustainable Carlisle Network Conversation Cafe.

Our Next Monthly meeting will be on Tuesday 23 April 1730 at St James’ Parish Centre.

Our first social ride of 2024 will take place on Saturday where as usual we will be meeting up for a leisurely cycle around the city centre to promote the health and environmental benefits of cycling.

Following the ride, those that are able will continue to a new venue (as Tullie House is currently closed for redevelopment) where we’ll have a catch up over Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate and take part in Sustainable Carlisle’s “Conversation Cafe.”

With regret – this Saturday’s Social Ride (18 November) is unable to go ahead, due to us having no available ride leader.

We hope to be back on 16th December for a final (and festive) ride for 2023.

Sustainable Carlisle Network Conversation Cafe will still go ahead at 12:00, at Tullie House.

And, our next Cycle Carlisle event will be our monthly meeting on Thursday 7th December, 1730 at St James’ Parish Centre.

Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 2^nd November 1730 at St. James’ Parish Church, to which all members are welcome.

Thursday 5 October 1730 at St James’ Church, Denton Holme.

This meeting will be in the church itself rather than the Parish Centre, due to the centre being used for other activities.  Bikes may be brought in to the church, but please bring own refreshments.

Our next Social Ride around the City is coming up – Sat 19 August starting from outside West Walls/Viaduct Tesco at 1100am – a chance for you to chat with us about Cycling in Carlisle and at the same time spread the message “Cycling for a healthier city / Cycling for a cleaner city”

We’ll circle the City Centre going out via West Walls and returning via Lowther Street with the aim of completing 2 full laps. Following this, the ride will proceed to Tullie for the Sustainable Carlisle Network Conversation cafe.

Meeting will take place in St. James’ Parish Centre, Denton Holme. Usual time: 5:30pm on Thursday 3rd August.

Refreshments £1/person – Coming by bike? you can park indoors.

Our next Slow Ride is SATURDAY 15 JULY and will coincide with Sustainable Carlisle Network Conversation Cafe at the Unity Festival at Tullie taking place all that day. Details on timing of the ride and joining instructions will follow !

AND .. looking ahead … our next Slow Ride will be a day later than normal on SUNDAY 18 JUNE (1100 from outside Viaduct Tesco) to coincide with Sustainable Carlisle Network Conversation Cafe during “Great Big Green Week”.
